This silk furisode is a combination of modern and traditional patterns and designs. Starting in the 80s and 90s, kimono artists started experimenting with combining these patterns in new and novel ways.
The shibori patterns (dotted white areas) are even extra, extra, extra large fan patterns, though the pattern has been blown up so big that each fan is larger than the actual furisode itself. There are many different flowers, such as kikyo (Chinese bellflower), chrysanthemum, and plum blossoms. Golden threading has also been placed on a couple spots to bring a little extra style.
